Exciting new Fundraiser in central London with Kilford

 "One Love Sessions" (music and art) @ The Social, Little Portland Street http://www.thesocial.com/ where Kilford will be inviting cool musicians to play and get their 'musical portraits' done. He will do sketches inspired by the songs the support acts perform and a painting inspired by the headlining act's set. It will be a cool night where people can know that even if they do not know who is playing in advance that if they turn up they will hear great and cool music and experience something different
Confirmed dates for the club in 2010 are Monday 15th February, Monday 22nd March, Monday 19th April and every 3rd Monday of the month .
Tickets are £5 and all proceeds are going to The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust

Healing in the NHS with Angie Buxton-King and Graham King

Angie and her husband Graham are in the unique position of being the first husband and wife team of healers working within the NHS in the UK. Angie  has worked as a healer in the NHS for the past ten  years progressing from a volunteer healer one day a week to now holding the post of Complementary Therapy Team Manager at University College London Hospital (a teaching  hospital in central London ) managing a team  of 14 complementary  therapists.  Graham has worked within the team as a paid healer working in the paediatric oncology unit with children aged 0-13, Teenage Cancer Unit and Adult Haematology patients for the past 5 years.

This lecture will describe their personal journeys to reach the point where they successfully entered the field of integrated medicine as healers.

How they achieved their posts within the hospital setting.

How the team of healers, reflexologists and aromatherapists now work within the cancer units within the hospital.

Case histories of patients to demonstrate the benefits of healers working within this setting.

How in 2006 they created their charity ‘The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust' to provide funds for more healers to work within hospital cancer centres both at home in the UK and abroad.

We look forward to meeting new friends at the Harmony centre on March 18th.

Angie Buxton-King

Angie  is a pioneer of healing within the N.H.S. She has worked as a healer for many years and for the past ten  years she has been employed at University College London Hospital (UCLH) managing a team of complementary therapists .She maintains a private practise at home in Suffolk Nr Southwold in which she teaches  healing and related workshops as well as offering  private healing treatments.

She is a Reiki Master / Teacher and a Healer /Tutor for the National Federation of Spiritual Healers . Angie is clinical lead for the Foundation of Integrated Health www.fih.org.uk  for Complementary Therapy  and was National Chair of 'The Doctor Healer Network in 2008  .' She created with her husband Graham ,'The Guild of Professional Healers' ( a community Interest Company ) which is asset linked into their charity 'The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust ' reg charity no 1115614 .

She has been  an invited lecturer at The European Bone Marrow Conference in Barcelona in 2004 and a keynote speaker at The Chaplains Pastoral Care Conference in Northern Ireland in 2004 . She has spoken at  many other conferences for medics both here in the UK and abroad .

Her work has been featured many times on TV and radio and been the subject of numerous articles in the national press and health magazines. Angie  completed a book of her experiences, which was  published by Virgin Books in July 2004, entitled 'The NHS Healer'

2006 saw the launch of  'The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust' .Since 2006 the charity has donated funds to UCLH  and other NHS trusts to employ  healers who offer  support to patients ,carers and staff .


Graham King

My interest in healing and a holistic approach to life began some 14 years ago as a result of health problems in my own life. During my search for ways to help my family and myself I became interested in healing and subsequently went onto train as a Reiki Master / Teacher. I have practiced clinically as a Reiki Master for the past eight years, both at home and abroad seeing patients with many different problems both physical and emotional. I have lectured and given many talks on the benefits of Healing and the power of Meditations. I am employed as a Reiki healer within a leading hospital in London and privately run classes on  self-help and healing methods for those who have the desire to  help themselves and others.
